A Natural Sore Throat RemedyAlso Good for Strep Throat & TonsillitisThis remedy works in 24-48 hours as opposed to 10 days if you go to a doctor. (If you DO go to a doctor and he prescribes antibiotics, make sure that you take probiotics afterward to repopulate your intestines with good bacteria. Antibiotics are equal-opportunity killers. They kill both the bad and the good bacteria, which leaves you with no bacteria at all. You need good bacteria! It also means that whatever takes hold first after you are done killing everything is what you will have the most of in your intestines. Let's insure that it's not the bad stuff. Garlic goes only after the bad bacteria, so it's a far safer remedy to use and it works. Formula:
Mix together and swallow. The garlic is the antibiotic; the cayenne brings the blood to the surface and the honey coats the throat. Do NOT drink or eat anything right after you take this remedy because the idea of using the honey is to keep the garlic and cayenne in the throat for as long as possible so that it will have time to work. Notes: Garlic stimulates the immune system rather than overriding and weakening it like antibiotics do, and it will not compromise the immune system. Unheated, unfiltered raw honey is sterile and antibacterial and can be used directly on wounds to help them heal. Sore Throat Remedy #2You know how you get that little cough and then your voice deepens and you start to feel that old familiar lump in your throat as your chest begins to burn and you know you're about to come down with the cold of your life? That actually happened to me this week (as I'm writing this), so I headed over to my local health store run by a Chinese lady who really knows her stuff, God bless her. Here's what she gave me to take and I'm telling you, my horrendous sore throat was gone in a matter of hours and I did not get that nasty cold. I am so very grateful.
